Lee Association for Remarkable Citizens (LARC) invites the community to the 2022 “Show Us Your Socks Showdown” to raise awareness for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. March commemorates LARC’s 68th anniversary and Developmental Disability Awareness month.
During March, LARC invites businesses and their employees to donate a dollar or more to LARC and wear a favorite pair of crazy socks. Donations will benefit LARC’s programs and services that help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve.
LARC employees will be traveling around the community looking for the craziest, most creative socks, collecting donations, and sharing photos of participants on social media. Participants can also share photos and videos of their awesome socks by tagging LARC and using #Sockchallenge2022, #LARC, and #GoodFunGoodCause.
“We understand that individuality is the spice of life, and even the most conservative dressers can get a little crazy on their feet,” said Angela Katz, LARC’s Executive Director. “Wear your most creative socks and show the community that you support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Then, challenge your friends and other companies to join the fun!”
