YOUTH CAREER CAMP

Explore Career Opportunities, while participating in a WORK BASED LEARNING EXPERIENCE with local businesses. Join LARC, Inc. for Summer Career Exploration Camps and gain transferrable skills in different industries!

VRCC Dates:
June 27 – July 1, 2022 9:00AM – 4PM (Retail Industry)
July 11 – July 15, 2022 9:00AM – 4PM (Hospitality Industry)
July 25 – July 29, 2022 9:00AM – 4PM (Animal Services)

Every student that successfully completes Career Camp will receive a $50 gift card, lunch, and certificate on the last day.

Our VR Career Camp (VRCC) is a Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program designed to provide specialized, unique Pre-Employment Transition Services to students with disabilities who are eligible or potentially eligible to receive VR services.
Youth Program – Ages 14-21

Criteria

  • Must be a student between 15-21 years of age.
  • Submit an IEP or 504 plan
  • Must be a student currently enrolled in school.
  • Possess a basic verbal and written skill-set or utilize a functional communication system.
  • Must be independent in daily living skills.
  • Has a desire to work or attend the program
  • Be a customer of Vocational Rehabilitation

 

Curriculum Highlights

This camp is a part of Pre-Employment Transition Services which includes; Job Exploration, Workplace Readiness, Work Based Learning and Post-Secondary Counseling in a real work environment.

The program described is an affiliate of the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
