Wishing You a Happy & Blessed Thanksgiving

Dear friends,

As Thanksgiving approaches, I am counting my blessings.

I am thankful for each member of the LARC family. When I think about what makes our organization so unique, one thing comes to mind: our people. This group of remarkable individuals puts our participants first, and because of that, amazing things happen.

Our challenges since 2020 have been formidable, from COVID-19 to a devastating hurricane. Our employees have met these challenges, even with personal risk and sacrifice. They care about our organization and, more importantly, the people we serve. Day in and day out, they give their very best and deserve our most profound appreciation and gratitude every day of the year.

I am thankful for our board members who care so much about our organization and provide valuable input and support for our long-term plans. Their dedication to LARC’s mission allows us to make a difference in our community.

I am thankful for the exciting projects underway to provide more opportunities for our participants to thrive, including our Commercial Culinary Training Kitchen being built on campus, and our beautiful 6-bedroom, 4-bath, fully ADA group home being built in Cape Coral.

I am thankful for the individuals, businesses, and organizations sharing our vision and generous donors contributing to our programs. Your generosity is casting a light on possibilities and potential that might otherwise go unnoticed. It is through the kindness of donors like you that we are able to create meaningful opportunities and foster an inclusive environment where every individual can thrive and achieve their fullest potential. Without you, our important work would not be possible.

Finally, I am thankful for the individuals and families we serve. It is a privilege to work to empower and support more than 300 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities each year. The smiles, accomplishments, newfound possibilities, and gratitude of each participant serve as a constant reminder of how deserving they are of our work.

As we gather with our loved ones to celebrate the season of gratitude, I want you to know that you are an integral part of the LARC family. Your commitment to our cause resonates deeply with us, and we are all profoundly thankful for the positive change you are helping us create.

Wishing you and your loved ones a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, joy, and the knowledge that your generosity has made a difference.

With heartfelt thanks,

Angela Katz
