Lee Association for Remarkable Citizens (LARC) is celebrating a successful evening of community, competition, and generosity. The organization’s inaugural Shaken, Stirred & Served event, held Sunday, April 27 at Nevermind Awesome Bar & Eatery in Cape Coral, raised $13,600 to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Local leaders traded podiums and microphones for bar aprons and trays during the high-energy Celebrity Bartender and Server Showdown, where teams competed to raise the most tips for LARC’s vital programs.
And the Winners Are…
• Top Bartender: Marc Collins, Executive Director of the Uncommon Friends Foundation
• Top Server: Kevin Anderson, Mayor of Fort Myers
The spirited event featured celebrity bartenders City of Fort Myers Public Information Officer Noelle Casagrande, Marc Collins, and Councilmember Jennifer Nelson-Lastra, and celebrity servers Mayor Kevin Anderson, Mayor John Gunter, and Sadie from the Logan and Sadie Morning Show on 96.9 WINK FM.
“We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our community,” said Angela Katz, Executive Director of LARC. “To raise over $13,600 in just a few hours is extraordinary—and it’s a true testament to the power of collaboration and compassion. Every tip and every dollar raised will go directly toward helping people with disabilities live full, independent lives.”
The evening also included VIP experiences, reserved seating, and plenty of fun as patrons came together for a cause that changes lives across Lee County.
LARC has been a cornerstone of the community since 1954, providing life skills training, vocational programs, residential services, and more to over 300 individuals each year, ranging in age from 14 to 83.
