Nickole Hendra Named LARC Director of Development and Communications

Lee Association of Remarkable Citizens (LARC) announces that Nickole Hendra has been named Director of Development and Communications. Established in 1954, LARC Inc. is a training center for success that provides support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

A seasoned professional, Hendra has more than two decades of involvement in the non-profit sector, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to positively impacting her community. With an innate ability to connect people from diverse backgrounds, Hendra has built a robust network of supporters, volunteers and donors.

“My journey began with a passion for social change,” said Hendra. “That led me to dedicate my career to causes that uplift and empower those in need. I am committed to creating a brighter, more inclusive future for all.”

“Nickole’s extensive experience gives her a comprehensive understanding of program development, fundraising, strategic planning, and community outreach,” said Angela Katz, LARC Executive Director. “Her leadership qualities have been instrumental in successful initiatives that have increased awareness, funding, and resources for critical social causes.”

Hendra’s dedication to philanthropy goes beyond her professional endeavors; she is a passionate advocate for social justice, tirelessly championing equitable solutions and driving systematic changes.

Since 1954, LARC has been dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Southwest Florida. LARC is a training center for success for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. LARC serves more than 300 individuals annually, and participants range from 14 to 80.

LARC offers vocational training, community residential services, and a vast array of other state-of-the-art community inclusion services on a full-time, year-round basis. LARC’s main campus is located at 2570 Hanson Street, Fort Myers. LARC also operates two Residential Group Homes in Cape Coral and Fort Myers.
