LARC, Inc. recently launched its newly designed website, www.larcleecounty.org. The new website serves as a resource for families and caregivers of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Visitors to the website can donate online, and learn about the services that LARC offers in Southwest Florida. Additionally, local businesses can discover the products and services that LARC’s clients provide, including custom-made wood items, janitorial services, and packing and assembly work.
The new larcleecounty.org website includes the following enhancements:
- Improved structure and navigation. The site has been redesigned for an improved layout with easier-to-read content making it simple to learn about services, how to get involved, and access resources.
- Resources. The website offers a comprehensive list of local, state and national links to resources useful for the individuals who use LARC’s services, as well as others who want to search for available services for people with disabilities.
- New logo. The new logo evokes a fun, friendly and bright feel. While the logo has changed to better represent the organization, services and who it serves, LARC’s core values and mission remain the same.
Since 1954, LARC’s mission is to promote and provide opportunities for people with developmental disabilities to live, work and participate in their communities to the fullest extent their capabilities allow.
LARC Inc. is a 501(c)3 that provides programs and services for approximately 300 local men and women annually. Many of these individuals participate in several of LARC’s various community programs. The nonprofit organization offers vocational training, community residential services, and a vast array of other state-of-the-art community inclusion services on a full-time, year-round basis.
“It has never been a more exciting time than now to be involved with LARC. We are 62 years strong and the new website and logo reflects our enthusiasm and focus on providing these much needed services for generations to come,” said Peter D’Alessandro, president of LARC’s board of directors. “This transformation better represents where the organization is today and our vision for the future.”
